Best of Breed for Lashes

October 13 and 14, 2012 - A "bunch" of Grand Champion points won in Wilmington, NC at the Hanover KC club shows. October 13 - Lashes Select Bitch for two points and Tash is Best Opposite Sex for another major. Judge Bonnie Linnell Clark. October 14 - Lashes tops the day with Best of Breed for a 5 point major and Tash is select dog for another major towards the Bronze under Rita Bell And, in the Afghan ring, Ch. Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues is Best Opposite Sex both days. Congrats to all.

Tash new Grand Champion

September 14 and 15, 2010 - Tash does a double header in Pinehurst, NC at the Moore County Kennel Club shows. Back to back Best of Breed under judges Linda Moore and Jackie Stacy adding two more majors and finishing his Grand Championship in style. Congratulations.

International Shows in Denmark

A great weekend for Yaffa's girls in Denmark! September 14, 2012 - Ch. Elsto Ata Alanna-Khariz tops the day by winning the CC, the CACIB and Best Opposite Sex, adding DAnish Ch. to her titles. September 15, 2012 - It was Affie's turn today. Ch. Elsto Afareen-Khariz is CC, CACIB and Best of Breed winner, making her a new Danish and Nordic Champion. Elsto Bashera-Khariz leaves for her new home in France.

September 10, 2012 - Amanda tops the Afghan entry by winning Best of Breed at the Norwegian Sighthound Specialty under judge Markuu Mahonen of Findland. Good job Amanda and Patrick!

Tash Best of Breed

September 1, 2012 - Tash takes the Breed under Michael Dougherty at the Raleigh KC show in North Carolina for a 4 point major towards his Grand. September 2, 2012 - The next day, Tash is Select Dog, winning another major under judge Gareth Morgan-Jones. Thanks to both judge for appreciating our young man.

August 9, 2010 - Amanda tops her win of the day before by winning Best of Breed and Hound Group I. Breed judge was Birgitta Svarstad and Group judge was Rony Doedijins of the Netherlands. Thanks to both.

August 8, 2012 - Amanda makes a trip to Finland to show at the SAWO specialty in Finland and captures her Finnish Championship. CC was won under judge Marjatta Soursa Pylvanaivan.

YAFFA'S PUPPIES ARE HERE!

July 1, 2012 - The eagerly awaited litter of Multi Ch. Dabka's Italy and Multi Ch. Omen Yaffa to Elsto-Khariz has arrived. 7 beautiful babies....3 boy and 4 girls in varying shade of red and cream. ASFA Trials - Rocky Mount, NC

Jne 9 and 10, 2012 - Tash runs his first American Sighthound Field Association trials this weekend and wins Best of Breed both days. He finishes his first day of running and comes home with Best In Field. Tarifa, adds 18 points towards her ASFA title while Tash earns his first 24 points. Congratulations and thanks to respected judges, Ian Davies, Sara Lenahan and Dean Wright. Your very nice comments about our boy were very much appreciated.

MASTER COURSER

June 2, 2012 - Camden, SC. At and 9 years and 8 months, Tarifa finishes her Master Courser requirements. We are so proud of our wonderful little courser. She would not give up even though she strained a rear muscle on her last course. What heart you have, dear Tarife. Tash adds another Best of Breed and turns in a good performance for Best In Field but not good enough to beat the Borzoi, Shimmer. Congrats to Shimmer and her owners. I know you were proud!

Lure Coursing Majors

May 19 and 20, 2012 - Reidsville, NC It wasn't an easy course but what an exciting weekend. In addition to sharing the day with other lure coursing friends Tash and Tarifa each brought home a lure coursing major. On Saturday, the indomitable Tarifa shows she's still got some coursing left in her by winning Best of Breed for a 4 pt. major. Tash comes home with his first lure coursing 3 pt major. The following day, Tash took the Breed for another point. And Tash completed his Senior Courser requirements this weekend. We had a lovely ceremony commemorating Pat's beautiful Borzoi Rod by having a 4th dog run. Pat generously gave beautiful rosettes to the Borzoi Best of Breed winner each day. As much as we wanted to, it was nearly impossible to say many words about Rod because we all broke into tears remembering this lovely Borzoi who lost his life doing what he loved....lure coursing.

New Saluki Champion

May 12th - Mid Atlantic Hound Association of Central North Carolina Lashes finishes her championship with another major under Judge Chuck Bagnell at the MAHA sighthound specialty. Thank you for putting the finishing touches on our little girl. She is now Ch. Omen Cee Candace Khariz JC

In Best of Breed competition, our young Ch. Elsto Atash-Khariz is Select Dog for a 4 pt major. May 13th - Lashes makes her debut in the Champion class and wins a 3 pt major Select. Woo hoo! Tash duplicates his win of the day before by being awarded another 4 pt major Select. He is now halfway to his Grand Championship with 3 majors and 13 pts. Lure Coursing Results - Reidsville, NC

Feb 25 & 26, 2012
We had our first weekend lure coursing of the year in Reidsville, NC this weekend. It was Tash's first official AKC trial and we are very happy with the results.
Tarife - at 9 1/2 - shows she still has the will to run and surprised us by beating Tash for Best of Breed on Saturday and adding another qualifying score to her Master Courser pursuit and another point towards her LCX
Tash takes his first Best of Breed Sunday and earns his first two points towards his Lure Coursing Championship and two qualifying scores towards Senior Courser.
We are looking forward to running again in May.
