Nordic Winner Show

December 12, 2011 - Stockholm, Sweden. The Saluki Ring.
Yaffa and Anna have a fabulous time in the saluki ring. With an entry of 48 salukis which included 27 bitches, Yaffa come home with Best Opposite Sex, Crufts qualification (again), Swedish Champion, Nordic Champion, CACIB and Nordic Winner 2011. Yaffa is also Number One Saluki in Norway for 2011.
What a fabulous end to a fabulous year. Thanks to Anna Storesund for her wonderful handling of our parti saluki.

Stockholm, Sweden Nordic Winner Show

OMG! What an incredible day with fabulous results.
Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda is Best Opposite Sex at the large Nordic Winner show held in Stockholm, Sweden. She became the Afghan Hound Nordic Winner 2011 at this show, won the CACIB and qualified for Crufts again.
Amanda has once more finished as Number One Afghan Hound for the year in Norway. Congratulations to Tove and Kjell and Patrick who handled her to these wonderful wins.

Winston Salem, NC

Furniture City KC, Dec 11, 2011 - We had some fun at Furniture City. Lashes adds another point in her title pursuit and Tash picks up his first points towards his Grand Championship. Many thanks to the person who helped with the dog shuffling and who took Lashes in the ring for me for Breed.

November 26, 2011 - Tash runs with Tarifa to complete his qualified courser requirement. It was a beautiful run and he will now be able to work towards his Lure Coursing title as well.

November 13, 2011 - Norwegian Ch. Elsto Ata Alanna-Khariz has another great day in the show ring. Best of Breed and Hound Group 2 at the Stord Kennel Club. Congratulations!!

ASFA Region 7 Invitational

November 5 & 6th, 2011 - Tarife celebrated her 9th birthday on October 17th but she proved she still has what it takes to make it around a lure coursing field. MAHA hosted the Region 7 invitational at Reidsville and Tarife showed her stuff once again by being Best of Breed on Sunday.
Congratulations to Kirby Overcash and Miles for taking home the ASA trophies by being overall high scoring for both days and winning Best of Breed on Saturday.
Tarife is 6 points short of her ASFA Field Championship. But age sure isn't stopping her!

Champion Number 4 for Yaffa's litter!

October 15, 2011 - Another champion for the Silmarillon/Yaffa litter.
Elsto Atash-Khariz finishes his American championship in grand style at Hanover KC in Wilmington, NC, with a 4 point major, Best of Winners and Best of Breed. Congratulations Tash for a wonderful finish. Thanks to all for the very nice comments about our young saluki. Thanks to judge Dierdre Petrie for this win. This makes 4 champions out of this lovely litter.
Lashes was Reserve Winners Bitch.

Amazing Amanda

October 9, 2011 - Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda continues her amazing career by winning Best of Breed, Hound Group 1 and Best in Show 3 at the international Norwegian Kennel Club show in Hamar, Norway. Congratulations to her owners, Tove and Kjell for a fabulous winning day.

Three New Coursing Titles

October 1 and 2, 2011 - AKC Lure Coursing meet at Reidsville produces three new JC (Junior Courser) title holders:

Elsto Atash-Khariz JC- "Tash" - Saluki
Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues JC- "Cassie" - Afghan Hound
Omen Cee Candace Khariz JC- "Lashes" - Saluki

The event was hosted by MAHA - the Mid Atlantic Hound Association. The weather was incredibly windy and the courses were challenging but the dogs had a great time.

Moore County KC weekend

Saturday, September 17, 2011 - The weather was rainy and cold and the show was outdoors but there were some good results all the same.
Afghan Hound Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues - "Cassie" - was Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex
Saluki Omen Cee Candace Khariz - "Lashes" - was also Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex.

Sunday, Sept 18th, 2011 - It promised to be a little bit better, weather wise, and while the rain did go away, it was still periodically blustery. Almost not worth brushing out the dogs. It was warmer though.
In the Afghan ring, Cassie repeated her win of the day before by going Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex. Cassie now has 10 points towards her title.
And in the Saluki ring, Elsto Atash-Khariz - "Tash" - is Winners Dog, BOW, Best of Breed and 3rd in the Bred by Exhibitor Group. Tash needs one major to finish his championship.
Lashes is Winners Bitch, Best Opposite Sex and is now at 7 points Thanks to judge Dana Cline for Sunday's wins.

September 11, 2011 - Norwegian KC International Show.

In the Saluki ring:

Kikki - Elsto Ata Alanna-Khariz - becomes a Norwegian champion at her first eligible show. Kikki is the third to finish from the Allan/Yaffa litter. Congratulations to her owner, Brit.

Affie - Elsto Afareen Khariz - is making quite an impression as a just recent Champion. Today she was Best of Breed, CACIB winner, Hound Group 1 and Best In Show 3. What a fantastic day for Affie.

In the afghan ring:

Amanda - Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda - continues her winning ways with another Best of Breed and Hound Group 2.

Her litter brother Jonas - Elsto Khariz Abracadabra - is Best Opposite Sex to his sister and wins the CACIB.

September 4, 2011 - Elsta Atash-Khariz (Tash) is Winners Dog under Barbara Dempsey Alderman and his best buddy Lashes is WB, BOW, BOS at the same show. Thanks to the judge for this recognition.

Sunday - August 21, 2011: It was a great finish to the weekend for Elsto Khariz.

Yaffa - Omen Yaffa to Elsto Khariz - is Best of Breed saluki and Hound Group IV - winning an invitation to Crufts. Judge Kurt Fr Blutecher.

And in the Afghan Ring: Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda is Best of Breed and her brother Elsto Khariz Odin is Best Opposite Sex so both have earned Crufts invitations. Amanda went on to win yet another Group I. BOB judge Juan Carlos Vasconsellos and Group Judge was Knut Fr Blutecher.

Yaffa's mother, Am Ch. Omens Ullah Bint Safran Monab and her half sister, Grand Ch. Omens Varda Rose to Sahara, qualified for Crufts at the 2011 Saluki Club of America specialty. Yaffa is helping to keep it in the family! Congratulations to these beautiful bitches.

2 New Champions - 3 New Titles

Lier, Norway: August 20, 2011 - We are thrilled to announce that Am Norw Danish Ch. Omen Yaffa to Elsto-Khariz JC was the Best Opposite Sex choice of Juan Carlos Vasconsellos, the specialty judge for the Norwegian National Saluki Specialty for 2011. Yaffa has made few ring appearances this year and we have been grateful for the recognition she has received.

The icing on the cake was that Mr. Vasonsellos also decided Yaffa's kids, Elsto Atif-Khariz and Elsto Afareen-Khariz, were deserving of winning the dog and bitch CC at the specialty making them both Norwegian Champions. Since Afareen had won the Swedish CC last week, she now has two new titles....Norwegian and Swedish Champion.

Congratulations to all and thank you to Mr. Vasconsellos for honoring our dogs with these wins.

Ronneby Sweden

August 14, 2011 - Yaffa's daughter, Elsto Afareen Khariz, takes both the CC and the CACIB at the Ronneby International under judge Ricky Lochs Romans from Holland. Yaffa is 4th best bitch. Congratulations also to the dog Yaffa will be bred to on her next season, Ch. Dabka's Italy on his Best of Breed at this show.

Tash in Greensboro

August 13, 2011 - Tash - "Elsto Atash-Khariz" - adds 2 more points to his total by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners under judge Mrs. Roberta Campbell. Tash is at 10 points with one major.

Yaffa in Sweden

July 30, 2011 - Congratulations to Yaffa on her recent win in Sweden. Yaffa adds another CABIB to her collection on Saturday at Ranseter International. She requires a CACIB in one more country to complete her International title.
