It wasn't an easy course but what an exciting weekend. In addition to sharing the day with other lure coursing friends Tash and Tarifa each brought home a lure coursing major. On Saturday, the indomitable Tarifa shows she's still got some coursing left in her by winning Best of Breed for a 4 pt. major. Tash comes home with his first lure coursing 3 pt major. The following day, Tash took the Breed for another point. And Tash completed his Senior Courser requirements this weekend.
We had a lovely ceremony commemorating Pat's beautiful Borzoi Rod by having a 4th dog run. Pat generously gave beautiful rosettes to the Borzoi Best of Breed winner each day. As much as we wanted to, it was nearly impossible to say many words about Rod because we all broke into tears remembering this lovely Borzoi who lost his life doing what he loved....lure coursing.
